Fresh, seasonal healthy meals
Meals provide a chance for residents to come together, enjoy good food and socialise with friends.
Just as in many family homes, meal times are a special part of the day. Meals provide a chance for residents to come together, enjoy good food and socialise with friends. We understand the importance of good nutrition and provide fresh, seasonal healthy meals which cater for individual tastes, dietary needs (both medical and allergies) and cultural preferences.
Residents are encouraged to contribute to menu plans to ensure everyone gets to eat the food they enjoy. Our chefs often sit down with residents to chat about what they’re enjoying and not enjoying. Morning and afternoon teas, complete with tasty sweet treats (often baked by residents) are common in our home. We change our menus regularly to keep things interesting, and there are drinks and snacks available at all times.
Our chefs love to prepare sweet treats for morning coffee or afternoon tea. From birthdays and anniversaries to events such as Chinese New Year, there’s always an excuse to produce fun or festive foods for residents to enjoy.
Residents also get to roll up their sleeves and get involved. Baking is a popular activity in many of our homes.
Evening Meals With Family
Mealtimes are always a sociable event, but we also have special evenings where residents can enjoy a dinner with their loved ones. They’re called ‘Come dine with us’ nights and residents invite their relatives to come to the home to enjoy a fine dining experience together.
We also host pie and peas suppers for relatives so that residents can maintain connections with loved ones while enjoying delicious meals made by our talented chefs.
